Step back in time with this early MONO. The quality of their music holds up well and still has that special magic. This is a very rare multi-hit album from the mid sixties, reissued in 1986 for the 20th Anniversary of the 1966 Beatles Tour of Japan (June 30/July 1&2, 1966 at the Budokan). Features ORIGINAL cover and ORIGINAL labels. (TOSHIBA used the original Odeon Labels for this re-issue).
The Beatles made a huge impact in Tokyo in 1966. This is an original mono recording from The Beatles, pressed with the original 1965 UK stamps as a special tribute. It is still great today.
Rubber Soul remains a timeless favourite with its mix of classic rock, pop, soul, ballad and folk musical styles.
It was their sixth studio album in 1965 (UK) with all new/original material.
Arguably one of the best albums of all time and markedly more sophisticated than their previous material.

Opening with a cute, cheeky song, 'Drive My Car', with Ringo playing the cowbell.
Ringo maintains spectacular rhythm, keeping the beat spot on brilliantly, throughout the Album.
The widely popular love ballad 'Michelle' sung by Paul with a guitar solo played by George Harrison, was a number one hit for the Beatles in Belgium, France, Norway, the Netherlands, Australia and New Zealand.

An avant-garde touch is Harrison's imaginative addition of the sitar to 'Norwegian Wood'.
This was the first appearance of this exotic Indian string instrument on a Beatles Album.
