Landing between their much lauded 1997 debut full-length Hacked Up For Barbecue and the 1999 sophomore follow up Chainsaw Dismemberment, the Zombie Apocalypse EP from New York based gorecore deathgrind brutalists Mortician, marked the (at the time) duo's prolific penchant for consistently churning out horror-inspired technical audible violence at an effervescent rate. Originally released in 1998 as a 7" before receiving an expanded edition later that year, including additional b-sides as well as influence highlighting covers of 'F.O.D. (Fuck Of Death)' from Slaughter and 'Horrified' by grindcore forefathers Repulsion, this fan service reissue resurrects an early yet no less potent project from one of the most visceral and uncompromising acts of 90s/early noughties death metal extremity.
