In the Court of the Crimson King (subtitled An Observation by King Crimson) is the debut studio album by English rock band King Crimson, released on 10 October 1969 by Island Records. The album is one of the earliest and most influential of the progressive rock genre, where the band combined the musical influences that rock music was founded upon with elements of jazz, classical, and symphonic music.

IT REACHED NUMBER 5 IN THE UK CHARTS.

THE COVER WAS PAINTED BY BARRY GODBER WHO SADLY DIED JUST AFTER ITS RELEASE, ROBERT FRIPP NOW HAS THE ORIGINAL ARTWORK.THE COVER REPRESENTS SCHIZOID MAN , THE INNER GATEFOLD THE CRIMSON KING.

The iconic gatefold cover is really nice for age - Has no splits or tears. The outer shows minor age related wear to the outer edges, corners, spine as to be expected. The inside is beautiful and vibrant!

The vinyl has a superior glossy sheen and sits flat to the surface with no warping. Labels and spindle holes are beautiful with no paper removal. Side one shows initialling. Visually the vinyl  otherwise is EXCELLENT with only two light non feelable surface wisp marks/lines.

The protective inner is fabulous with no splits or tears, only mild age related discolouration.

OVERALL A GORGEOUS PIECE TO ADD TO YOUR MUSICAL COLLECTION.
