Mint (M): An unopened, brand new record and sleeve.
Near Mint (NM): Both record and sleeve are almost perfect – no obvious signs of imperfection are present.
Excellent (Ex): Very close to Near Mint but the record may have the odd surface mark and/or exhibit a few wispy sleeve removal lines that can only be viewed under the brightest of lights. The sleeve may have the odd crease, or some other minor blemish. This will be a great copy.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Will show signs of prior use (very light scuffs, surface marks, etc) but these defects will be cosmetic in nature. Surface noise, if present, will certainly not overpower the music, and there will be no repeating clicks present. No marks on the vinyl should be feelable to the touch. The sleeve may have the odd blemish or crease. Overall, a very nice collector’s copy.
Very Good (VG): Will play through fine, but the disc may have more obvious signs of use. Typically, these will be light marks that shouldn’t affect playback too much (if at all), although occasionally there may be a scratch that is feelable to the touch. The music will play loud and clear, although surface noise may be present. The sleeve may display signs of mishandling.
Good Plus (G+) Good (G), Fair (F), and Poor (P): We will always detail why a record or sleeve has received one of these grades in the ‘Notes’ section above.
