Here we have George Harrison's The Concert For Bangladesh 3 x LP box set complete.
Benefit concerts are nothing new - back then, George asked his mates to pitch in and play at Madison Square Garden to raise money to help refugee children. And what a bunch of mates to call on - Ringo Starr, Eric Clapton,Bob Dylan, Ravi Shankar and more. The concert was recorded and released on a 3x LP box set with a 63 page booklet.
All three records have been ultrasonically cleaned and have come up shiny but with minor scuffs and hairlines visible. No feelable damage.
Playback reveals a great live concert atmosphere captured on the recording with good stereo imagery. A warm, nostalgic analogue sound. There is low noise and crackle, notably in the quiet passages, but this does not spoil the enjoyment. No jumping or sticking.
The original brown inner sleeves are all present. We have popped the records into anti static sleeves inside their sleeves to keep the records pristine after cleaning - you will receive these also.
The lovely booklet is a little creased to one corner but the staples are holding it together nicely and it is still strong, clean, and free of stains, writing or tape.
The box has partly collapsed over the years and has one torn side.
We have taken lots of pictures so you can see exactly the condition. Please take time to look as they form part of the description. Happy to answer any questions you may have.
