The Rolling Stones : Out Of Our Heads 1W/1W 1st Boxed Stereo Press
This early boxed Decca pressing plays to a superb standard with no ticks, clicks, pops or static, no intrusion at all. All tracks are graded as Mint or Mint- apart from the first which I have graded as Near Mint and this is only due to the sonic quality not being as strong as the others. This is only due to how the vinyl was recorded / cut and it still plays extremely well with no interference. This album plays with great clarity and raw power and the vinyl is also in beautiful condition with no marking.
The cover is stunning! It is practically 'as new' with only a small number of very faint spots on the back cover. The original inner sleeve is also in excellent condition.
This is the second label of this boxed pressing and was produced around 1970 - 1972 according to the stonesondecca site. Still a record of an advanced age and rarely found in this condition!

The audio on S1 is Mint(-) (T1 Near Mint)
The audio on S2 is Mint(-)
The cover is Near Mint
The original inner sleeve is Ex+
The labels are Mint-A perfectly clean run in and then the intro on 'She Said Yeah' is very powerful and has no interference. Not the best sonic quality you could say but that's how this vinyl was recorded / cut. In saying that there is no interference and still has that typical raw Stones power. I'm going to say Near Mint although I'm not sure why I am downgrading it!
'Mercy, Mercy' is sonically a lot more impressive. It plays with much greater depth and clarity and deserves a Mint grade for sure.
'Hitch Hike' plays with great power and depth and there is no intrusion on the audio. It has the real 'raw' sound again and I will grade as Mint- this time.
'That's How Strong My Love Is' plays with wonderful clarity and definition and.... no interference. The powerful end section is so clean and strong and has no distortion on the top end. Another Mint track.
'Good Times' plays with sublime quality from the get go. With very clean vocals the musical backing cannot be faultled either and it easily grades as Mint such is the quality.
The intro on Gotta Get Away' has no background and the opening vocal is just as good. It continues in the same way and for a final track the clarity of sound is very impressive. There are no ticks, clicks, pops or static - the sonics are not quite as clear as some other tracks but again that is just down to how and where it was recorded. They did use two studios to record this album. Let's say Mint-
----------------------------------------------------------
The intro on 'Talkin' 'Bout You' plays perfectly and from then on the audio is very strong with no intrusion. That by now familiar raw power and Mint- is fair.
'Cry To Me' plays with stunning quality throughout with zero interference. This track of course features a very powerful vocal from Jagger in parts and yet there is no distortion at all. I will say Mint- but I'm not sure the minus is required. A perfect fade out shows just how good the clarity is here.
'Oh, Baby (we got a good thing going)' and 'Heart Of Stone' both play with very clear and powerful audio and again there is nothing getting in the way of the listen. Mint-
The intro on 'The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man' plays with real depth and warmth and the opening vocal has no interference either. It continues in the same precise way - I've always liked this track, great early Stones and excellent writing from good old Nanker, Phelge :-) !! Mint-
The classic 'I'm Free' ends the album with no interference and again I believe Mint- is a fair assessment of the audio.
In summary this boxed pressing plays with great quality with no interference of any kind. As stated the sonic quality is not always of the highest due to the 'recording process' etc but there is no denying how clean and precise the actual is. Like I say no ticks, clicks, pops or static. A worthy addition to any Near Mint / Mint collection.
The Cover & Inner Sleeve
The cover is visually stunning and has been preserved so well. There is no obvious wear - a handful of faint spots near the opening edge on the back cover that is all. The edges, spine and corners are in superb condition, you could not find a better example than this. Wow!
No surprise in that the original poly-lined inner (dated 11-72) is also in excellent condition. It is unmarked and has only light creasing and one minor tear in one top corner.

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping. This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage. The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered. Any over-payment will always be refunded.
The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD). An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known. Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing. Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask. Many thanks.
All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection. They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection. I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.
The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each. There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up! Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
