Queen : Greatest Hits II A-2U / B-1U / A-2 / B-2 1st Press 1991

This first pressing plays with real quality across all four sides and there are no clicks or pops.  The clarity, depth and power of the audio is stunning and all I detected were a handful of very quiet static ticks on a couple of tracks which are in no way intrusive.  Both those tracks still grade as Near Mint!  This is easily one of cleanest examples of this '91 double album that I have heard and has clearly hardly ever been played.  So many highlights too numerous to mention!

The gold embossed cover in lovely condition with only very minimal wear on the edges and the picture inners are also very clean with only the first one having one tiny side split.

Visual description

The vinyls are in excellent condition with a lovely glossy sheen and no scratches.  All I can see under a bright light are some of the usual faint hairlines which obviously have no impact on the audio.  The run out grooves are very clean and the labels are close to perfect with barely any spindle wear.

Play grading

'A Kind Of Magic' starts things off with great quality throughout and no interference.  The intro on 'Under Pressure' has only a couple of mega quiet statics and it then plays with exceptional audio from that point on.  Mint- is a fair assessment of the audio.  'Radio Ga Ga' again has only a couple of hardly noticeable statics on the intro and then plays 'as new' for the remainder.  'I Want It All' and 'I Want To Break Free' complete the side with perfect audio.  I would say two tracks grade as Mint- and the other three Mint so not a bad start!!
The intro on 'Innuendo' plays with wonderful clarity, not one dust tick, and the opening vocal is just as clean.  Only the acoustic section has a small number of light statics at the beginning.  The rest of the track is faultless and overall Near Mint is deserved.  'It's A Hard Life' and 'Breakthru' play perfectly and for once the intro and opening vocal on 'Who Wants To Live Forever' play so clearly with zero intrusion, the clarity is sensational!  This standard is kept up as it progresses and is easily one of the finest versions I have heard.  A handful of minor statics and the bare minimum of static at the end of the fade out and Near Mint is fair at the very least.

'Headlong' on S3 is 'as new' from start to finish and 'The Miracle' is just as impressive.  In fact the final two tracks 'I'm Going Slightly Mad' and 'The Invisible Man' also play to the same high end standard with literally no intrusion.  This side is Mint no need for a minus here!
'Hammer To Fall' has only a couple of insignificant barely audible statics at the start and then plays without fault from that point on and 'Friends Will Be Friends' also plays like it has never been played before.  What follows is one of the most 'complete' versions of the classic 'The Show Must Go On' that I have ever listened to.  The clarity and power of the audio is exceptional and there is no distortion on the top end either.  There is no background during the repeated Go on end section which makes a change.  'One Vision' concludes the album with impeccable quality also.  Another Mint side.
In summary this album is as close to perfect as you will find.  There are no clicks or pops and all you will find is a handful of minor static ticks - nothing intrusive basically.  The clarity of sound is STUNNING and the power and depth of the audio is hugely impressive also.  I mean I have graded only two tracks as Near Mint, all the rest are either Mint- or Mint!!  Incredible audio all the way through!
The Gatefold & Lyric Inner
The embossed cover is in lovely condition and is easily one of the best you will find.  It has been very well preserved and has kept its original shape and structure perfectly.  It has only minimal rubbing on the top and bottom edges and so much less than what you normally find.  The wide spine has only a handful of tiny white 'specks' and all corners are in great shape also with barely any wear.  The opening edges are pristine and the front and back are unmarked and still have their original glossy 'look'.  The inside of the gatefold is immaculate - a superb example overall.
The first picture inner has just one very small split / rub on the right side and just a touch of barely visible creasing either side of the thumb notch.  The second is more or less perfect with only the same minimal creasing by the thumb notch.
Play tested on my Rega P2 with AT VM95EN Cart / Denon PMA-520AE Amp / B&W 684 Speakers

The records have been cleaned on a Pro-Ject VC-S machine

I will only send items items worldwide via tracked shipping.  This provides 'peace of mind' in case of loss or damage.  The shipping costs are shown below and combined shipping is always offered.  Any over-payment will always be refunded.

The Royal Mail only insure up to a value of £250 so if an item sells for more it may be wise to use a courier service (e.g. Parcelforce or DPD).  An extra insurance premium will be required but I will not know the exact amount until the final sale price is known.  Because of this I will sometimes have to estimate the cost and this will be shown in the listing.  Please wait for the invoice before making payment and if you have any questions please feel free to ask.  Many thanks.

All vinyls are packaged in strong over-sized custom made mailers with plenty of extra cardboard protection.  They are placed inside separate poly-lined inners outside the cover so as to avoid seam splits in transit and then placed inside a PVC sleeve to provide even more protection.  I pride myself on my high quality packaging as my feed confirms and if any customer has any specific requirements I am more than happy to help.

The mailers I use cost £1.00 each and I will use anything between 3-5 cardboard stiffeners which cost approx £0.18 each.  There is also the cost of the poly-lined inner and PVC sleeve to consider, it all adds up!  Not forgetting that eBay take 10% of the shipping fee also!!
