History... Master of Reality is the third studio album by English heavy metal band Black Sabbath, released in August 1971, by Vertigo Records. It is regarded by some critics as the foundation of doom metal, stoner rock, and sludge metal. Produced by Rodger Bain, who also produced the band's prior two albums, Master of Reality was recorded at Island Studios in London from February to April 1971. Guitarist Tony Iommi and bassist Geezer Butler downtuned their instruments during the production, achieving what Iommi called a "bigger, heavier sound".

The vinyl is a true first press, confirmed by the positioning and size of the large Vertigo swirl and Roger Bain credits! It has a superior glossy sheen to the surface and sits completely flat with no warping. The labels and spindle holes are fabulous. Has a few light non feelable surface lines and one small deeper score. Overall EXCELLENT.

The outer embossed cover box is also EXCELLENT, it has a beautiful gloss and only minimal age wear to corners and outer film etc.

The black INVERTED Vertigo swirl protective inner is great, with no splits or tears, only some dirt/staining.

Completing this set is a 'Master Of Reality' poster, in EXCELLENT condition with no splits or tears. Matt finish approx 46cm x 68cm folded into 6 sections.
