*1975

*UK 1st PRESS

*Early matrix numbers.

1st Press Matrix numbers...

Side 1 = SHVL 814 A-1

Side 2 = SHVL 814 B-3

Early Mother stampers...

Side 1 = 2 GTG

Side 2 = 4 GRP

The outer sleeve is the first variant, which is noted by the pinched spine and is in lovely condition - No splits or tears and has a beautiful spine. Minimal age wear, dirt. (NM-)

The labels are the first variant which shows "Waters-Gilmour-Wright" song-writers credit for 'Shine on You Crazy Diamond' (Side 1 Part 5). Which was subsequently changed on later pressings for just "Waters". They are lovely and have fab spindle holes. (NM-)

The matrix numbers on the vinyl show that this is a UK first A1 B3 pressing. The mother stamper codes also suggest that the record was produced very early in the manufacturing line.

The original card inner sleeve, with a notch to the side edge and which is die-cut on three of the four corners is also in nice condition for age. It has minimal wear and some age discolouration/dirt. One seam split starting (EX)

The vinyl it self has a lovely glossy sheen in appearance and sits flat to the surface. Side 1 is pretty much perfect (NM)  and side two only has a couple of light insignificant no feel surface lines. (EX+)

OVERALL, AN EXCELLENT PIECE OF MUSICAL HISTORY TO ADD TO YOUR COLLECTION!!!
