Celebrating its 20th birthday, British alt-rock group Keane's 'Hopes and Fears' was a transcendental piece of that iconic phase of Britrock/pop. The opening piano chords of 'Somewhere Only We Know' have become one of the most recognisable in the genre, if not for the alarming amount of emotional acoustic covers. It's not like you can't understand the popularity though, frontman Tom Chaplin's voice contains a quietly powerful vulnerability - a stubborn candle in a storm. Far from a one-trick pony, 'Everybody's Changing' is a home run of a track - for me probably one of the most nostalgic songs ever (Showing my age slightly...) Keane is a timeless class act, one of those bands you are guaranteed to love but not know the name of, for whatever reason. In this updated vinyl package, includes two discs with stunning hues of blue, the artwork has similarly been updated slightly. Disc 2 contains a trove of b-sides and rare tracks sure to get even the most diehard fan going.
