The Doors LP - Strange Days.
First UK Pressing - Elektra - EKS 74014 - A1 / B1.
Outer sleeve - (VG (-)) - Outer sleeve is relatively nice and clean but with some heavy creasing, creasing to the laminate in places, spine has rubbed to the point of holing. Slit to the spine measures 10 cm.
Inner Sleeve - (VG (-)) - Original lyric inner sleeve which is heavily creased in places, torn on one side, slits to the sides.
Vinyl - Vinyl graded under a bright light bulb. When I refer to 'scratches' or marks' these are not deep enough so that they can be felt by the finger.
(G - G+ To Play VG (-)?) - Vinyl looks well, well played. Both sides are covered with many, many, many very light looking surface marks which should not affect the vinyl playing very well. I feel that with the right set up the vinyl should should play to a VG grading or even higher with the chance of some light distortion in places. As one of my favourite albums of all time it has been massively played. That said, I used to play it on a set of Technics 1210s with the heaviest weight on the stylus and it would play well with the likelihood of some background noise. Record Collectors Grading system Mint (M)The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet. booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records marked as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.Excellent (EX)The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.Very Good (VG)The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects is acceptableGood (G)Te record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discolouration, etcFair (F)The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.
