This early 70s compilation, from the then recently founded Rounder Records, has many quality songs on it. What can I really say - it's Gid Tanner & His Skillet Lickers. Not only are the songs themselves rousingly catchy, but there's a genuinely transcendental quality to the way Riley Puckett's guitar chords splash off Gid's driving runs on the fiddle. Just splendid.
Grading scale: NM > EX > VG+ > VG > Good > Poor)
Vinyl: EX. Stunning showing only slight tiny signs of use. The finish is shiny with some light marks where the vinyl has been in and out of the inner sleeve a few times. Labels are superb, clean and bright without marks. Spindle shows no sign of wear. And no warps.
