Bid with confidence. Ask questions before ordering.
We have been buying and selling records at Hunky Dory since 2010. Now with three shops (Durham, Raleigh and Cary) we have amassed some really great stuff. Selling online reaches an even broader audience.
Records are visually inspected under bright lighting and played to assure condition and playability. Records shipped in plain white inner sleeve if company inner is available.
Domestic shipping is $5 domestic media mail for up to two 12” records for USPS media mail. Box sets are obviously more. International buyers should contact us first before buying.
Grading Scale for VINYL and COVER
( S ) SEALED = VINYL assumed mint. Never opened.
( M ) MINT = VINYL absolutely perfect in every way, appears to be never played.
( NM ) NEAR MINT = VINYL nearly perfect, no obvious signs of wear. COVER should have no creases, folds, seam splits, cut-out holes.
( VG++) VERY GOOD PLUS-PLUS = VINYL may have light smudges, light scuffs from inner sleeves and/or signs of some wear, but will still play almost perfectly, with only slight detectable crackles or pops. Slight noise at the beginning may be present. COVER may have a small imperfection.
( VG+ ) VERY GOOD PLUS = VINYL and COVER is close to VG++ but not quite as solid.
( VG ) VERY GOOD = VINYL has light scratches, may pop, crackle or hiss, or make other noises (but only occasionally) and typically not louder than the music. COVER has normal wear such as ring-wear and seam-splits, creases, corner dings, or imperfections on the edges and spine.
( G ) GOOD = VINYL has feelable scratches, producing continuous crackles, pops, and a strong presence of surface noise. COVER has more than normal wear and tear.
( P ) POOR = VINYL is cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. COVER shows such obvious wear (such as water damage) and may not keep the record inside the sleeve.
