A superb collection of Woody Guthrie songs covered by Woody's long time companion and protege, the inimitable Ramblin' Jack Elliott and including various 'talking blues', the great anthem 'This is your land' and the the wonderful condensation of Steinbeck's' 'Grapes of Wrath' in 'The ballad of Tom Joad'. Guthrie is known to have told Jack,"You sound more like me than I do!" He does too.
