Baron Elmo proudly presents a crucial LP of bad-ass punk scree, ripped hot and bloody from the chest cavity of rock by bad boys extraordinaire DWARVES: Blood, Guts & Pussy, unleashed upon an appalled world in 1989 by the Sub Pop label. This is a first edition copy, pressed on clear blood-red vinyl and minus a bar code. Starting off as a Midwestern garage band, the Dwarves kicked their music into high gear once they moved to San Francisco – maintaining their balls-out recklessness, but pushing the tempos faster and faster and diving headfirst into much more offensive song material. Blood, Guts & Pussy strips the Dwarves sound down to a full-out assault of 12 extremely short tracks that come on like in-the-face sucker punches, the whole thing adding up to about 13 minutes of music. These recordings are raw, mean, bad-ass and utterly vital -- at this point, the Dwarves were miles away from the far more polished pop-punkers they would evolve into on subsequent releases, and good for them. If you dig no-nonsense rock 'n roll and don’t have Blood, Guts & Pussy, then you, gentle reader, are up Hell River on a raft made of splintery toothpicks. The album is currently in print on wax, but with a bar code and on boring old black vinyl. Don't miss this chance to own an album that will piss off squares even more than gangsta rap in its original, definitive edition! This record shows slight wear, but looks great and plays beautifully, while the cover is in fine shape but for a mildly dented upper right-hand corner and a slight crease near the lower left-hand corner.
