Additional information regarding watch sales

Leicestershire Police are unable to guarantee the working order or accuracy of any watches sold. Whilst we makes every attempt to identify and disclose any customized attributes where possible, the absence of any disclosure is not a guarantee of authenticity, Leicestershire Police  accepts no liability if an item is later found to be with non-brand alterations. Neither is it always possible to authenticate every component, this includes individual external and movement parts, watch glasses, hands, straps and buckles, this is often due to items having been previously maintained outside of authorized workshops ,Leicestershire Police are therefore unable to accept any liability if any component or part is later found to be with issue - this includes compatible yet non-original brand parts and/or numbering that may limit maintenance options through workshops in the future.

Importation of Watches into the US

Bidders should be aware that the import of watches to the US is restricted. Watches (not limited to Rolex) may not be shipped to the USA and import must be undertaken personally. Generally only one watch may be imported in this manner at any one time. It is the responsibility of the prospective buyer to identify and comply with any restrictions

Motor Vehicle bidders please note the following;

We are not a motor trader. The ‘Trading Standards Agency’ conclude that we are an ‘Agent’ acting on behalf of an owner of a motor vehicle, therefore we are classed as a ‘Private Seller’ purchasers rights fall within this category.

The majority of vehicles sold on this site have been in storage for sometime, twelve months or more. The vehicles are not owned by Leicestershire Police, nor do we have any other interest in them other than to act as an agent for the owner to facilitate the sale.

We do not undertake any service, scheduled maintenance or mechanical examinations on any vehicles. To establish as to a vehicles condition at point of sale all vehicles over three years old are submitted for an MOT test. Should a vehicle fail the test the details will be published in the listing. The failure document will be supplied to the winning bidder.

En route to pre-arranged MOT test

Before a vehicle can be used on the public road you will need to have obtained valid insurance, road fund licence, and if the vehicle is over three years old a current MOT certificate.

Current legislation allowed you to drive a Motor Vehicle on the public road without a valid MOT of RFL if you have a pre-booked MOT and are en route to the testing station for that pre-booked MOT.

We would however advise that should you be anticipating an immediate lengthy journey to you designated MOT testing station, that you arrange either to have the vehicle transported for you or arrange for a mechanical check before you commence your journey.
