I HAVE ADDED 3 PHOTOS FOR YOU TO SEE THE CONDITION OF THESE 6 ICONIC GRAND FUNK RAILROAD HARD ROCK ALBUMS! 12". 7 LPs.
Going through the albums one by one, here are the details:
Survival - Capitol SW-764 - Jacket has original shrink.  Yellow sticker is on shrink, not jacket.  Jacket has some light dog-ears, open edge wear, ring-wear.   Overall jacket is VG++.  Record is VG (PLAY TESTED), playing very well but being cosmetically rough; lots of scuffing or maybe needing a good cleaning.  Play tested fine but for a little light hiss here or there.
On Time - Capitol ST-307 - Jacket has a used record store price sticker on front, some light dog-ears, edge wear, ring-wear, scuffing.   Overall jacket is VG.  Record is VG (PLAY TESTED SIDE 2), with some surface scratches on side 2 that don't affect play.
Closer to Home - Capitol SKAO-471 - Gatefold jacket has some light dog-ears, heavy edge wear (with splitting on top edge), ring-wear, scuffing.   Overall jacket is G+. Record is VG (PLAY TESTED), with some surface scratches that don't affect play but for a little hiss and pop.
Hits - Capitol ST-11579 - Jacket has some dog-ears, a hole-punch cutout, light edge wear, scuffing.   Overall jacket is VG. Record is EX with some very faint surface scuffs.  This album comes with a liner note sleeve AND a full color booklet. I don't grade such inserts or sleeves, I just play it safe and call them all worn.
Mark, Don & Mel:  1969-71 - Capitol SABB-11042 - Gatefold jacket has some light dog-ears, edge wear (with a little splitting on top edge), ring-wear, scuffing.   Overall jacket is VG. Records are both VG (PLAY TESTED), with some surface scratches that don't affect play.  Vinyls could use a dusting/cleaning.  This album comes with 2 art sleeves (articles collaged regarding band; they may be satirical articles?). I don't grade sleeves, I just play it safe and call them all worn.
Live Album Record 1 Only - Album Sides 1 & 4 - Capitol SWBB-633 - No jacket.  Record is VG (PLAY TESTED), with many surface scratches that don't affect play but for a little hiss in the quiet parts....and there aren't many quiet parts on this live record.
See photos.
We use Goldmine® visual grading (we play test when we feel scratches merit it), which breaks down like this (please do read through this record grading if you are not familiar with it):
M (mint) Record is new, shiny, never played.
NM (near mint) Record is like new, probably played a few times, but it doesn't effects on the quality of a sound.
EX (excellent) Record in great shape, may have light marks, played more than a few times but low in surface noise or no surface noise.
VG+ (very good plus) Record has been played more times, it has more marks and surface noise, it doesn't skip.
VG (very good) Record has been played many times, may be more surface noise, but it shouldn't skip while playing.
G (good) Record is in bad condition, this is worth only for archive items - just to have that until you find better.
P (poor) Record is a mess and probably will skip (Goldmine doesn't actually offer a "poor" rating but this is how we would describe POOR).
REGARDING DUST - IF YOU ASK 5 DIFFERENT RECORD COLLECTORS THEIR PREFERRED WAY TO REMOVE DUST YOU WILL GET 5 DIFFERENT ANSWERS AND EACH MIGHT BE OFFENDED BY THE OTHER COLLECTORS METHOD OF REMOVING DUST. SO WHEN I SEE DUST ON A VINYL I SELL IT AS IS BUT I TRY TO LET YOU KNOW IN THE LISTING IF YOUR VINYL NEEDS A LIGHT OR HEAVY DUSTING.
WHEN I SHIP RECORDS I SHIP THEM ON TOP OF THE JACKET, NOT INSIDE. BELIEVE IT OR NOT, THIS IS THE COMMON AND PREFERRED WAY TO SHIP A RECORD. THIS KEEPS IT FROM CUTTING THROUGH THE CLOSED SIDES OF THE JACKET DURING SHIPPING. I SHIP IN CARDBOARD RECORD BOXES AND I USE BUBBLE WRAP (WHEN THE BOX ALLOWS ROOM FOR IT; OTHERWISE RECORDS ARE SNUG AND SAFE ENOUGH WITHOUT IT) TO ENSURE YOUR ITEM ARRIVES SAFELY.
