A classic Sun Ra set from the late 60s – recorded in New York in 1968, and featuring a lineup that includes Kwami Hadi on trumpet, Marshall Allen and Danny Davis on alto and flute, John Gilmore on tenor and drums, and Pat Patrick on baritone and flute – all classic players who are the height of their most expressive powers here! The sound is quite "out" overall – really jamming in an almost free jazz sort of way at times – showing the growing boldness and confidence of the Arkestra, as they keep ahead of the pack of all the younger artists they've inspired by this point in their career.
