A-side he plays crafty with 'King Bromeliad' segueing from live field recording into a full bodied shimmy bumping off a loping bassline with crisp drums and wandering Rhodes bowing to the dons of Detroit house, Theo Parrish and KDJ, but with a swagger all of its own. B-side, 'Montparnesse' simmers down to a slower coda of percolating house chords and haunting, gaseous brass motifs, which actually turn out to be a lonely vocal sample threaded and diffused as some sylph-like siren seducing us to the sparse, dubbed out breakdown and beautifully restrained but driving finale.
