The archetypal happy accident, sibling trio The Staves second studio album was born from a casual visit to Justin Vernon’s (Bon Iver) April Base studio in Wisconsin.
“There was no plan to make a record there, or even demo anything; it was initially just to hang out with Justin,” they claim. “There was no pressure at all - we didn’t even tell our label we were going!”
Whatever the process, it's clear all parties were are with the results, with a fresh collection of folk melodies and gorgeous harmonies now primed for release.
