With a sound swooning from soul to country to roots and Americana, the record was produced by three sets of producers in Muscle Shoals and Nashville - John Paul White (Civil Wars) and Ben Tanner (Alabama Shakes), Dave Cobb (Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson) and Colin Linden (T. Bone Burnett).
