Back in 1996, Placebo announced themselves as one of the ‘90s key post-grunge alt rock acts with release of their classic eponymous debut album.
A UK top 5 hit, the record struck a chord with listeners frustrated by britpop’s laddish tendencies; its sexual ambiguity and Brian Molko’s striking image proving an inspiration for legions of fearless followers.
The trio would go on to make numerous other impressive LPs, yet few which housed so many fan favourites, with the likes of 36 Degrees, Teenage Angst and Nancy Boy all featuring.
Now, with the trio nearing their 20th anniversary, the record comes as the first in a series of remastered reissues celebrating their catalogue - a must-have for any fan!
