Released in 1968, this iconic live album captured Johnny Cash’s performances at California’s Folsom State Prison.
Recorded over two nights, the project first stemmed from the classic Folsom Prison Blues; a song which became a favourite among inmates, and led to many requesting he performed at their prisons.
Unveiled to rave reviews, the record is now viewed as a stonewall classic, as well as one which revived his career following a commercial lull in the mid-’60s.
Every home should have one.
