Released in 1973, Burnin’ was the sixth studio album from reggae legends Bob Marley & The Wailers.
The record opens with a signature song, the call to action Get Up, Stand Up and includes a more confrontational and militant tone than previous records, such as in another Marley standard, I Shot the Sheriff.
A bona fide reggae classic, the record is often cited among the finest the genre has ever produced, and was listed at #319 onRolling Stone 's 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
