Released in 1983, Soul Mining was the debut album from British post-punk/synthpop band The The. The record peaked at #27 in the UK charts, and featured a trio of classic singles in Uncertain Smile, Perfect and This is the Day. Moreover, it’s reputation has only enhanced with the passage of time, and is cited by many as being among the finest albums of the ‘80s.
Now, the record has been granted the deluxe vinyl treatment for its 30th birthday, with the original remastered record joined by a second LP featuring alternative versions and remixes. With mainman Matt Johnson also contributing fresh sleevenotes, the new package is a must for any collector!
