XL call in 'ardcore reinforcements from Special Request on the 1st of 3 ruffneck rinse-outs. In the classic magpie tradition of early '90s rave, he samples liberally from anything he fancies, flipping elements of Tony Lionni, Lyn Collins and Bobby Byrd into the hardcore piano house blow-out, 'Amnesia' on top, and again with licks from Jomanda and MC GQ in the B-side's strobing roller, 'Reset It' (although to be fair XL have cleared all the samples), whereas the 'Modern Warfare' exhibits some equally hardcore synthesis resulting a fresh, recursive mutation and update of the OG sound.
