At the time of this albums original release in 1977 deejay Trinity was,
alongside Dillinger and Ranking Trevor at the height of his powers and
popularity. Three Piece Suit is based upon a selection of wicked Gibbs rhythms,
principally relicks of by then well established Jamaican classics including Java,
Queen Majesty, Joe Frazier, Keep On Moving and of course the title track over the I’m Still In
Love With You rhythm which also provided the bedrock for the Joe Gibbs produced
international success with Althea & Donna’s Uptown Top Ranking.
