The Beatles-Please Please Me-PMC 1202-Orig UK 1N/1N Pressing - Ex

This is an original 1963 UK mono pressing of The Beatles 1st UK LP ‘Please Please Me’ on Parlophone (PMC 1202). As far as I can tell it is the first pressing on the black-yellow version of the Parlophone label (as opposed to the Gold on Black Label) - see: http://thebeatles-collection.com/wordpress/2011/07/16/please-please-me-parlophone-pmc-1202-3/   for verification of this information.

MATRICES:  SIDE ONE; XEX 421-1N MOTHER MARKS GLO  1 11

SIDE TWO; XEX 422-1N MOTHER MARKS RDA  4 13

The sleeve is in amazing condition for its age. No writing or tears or tape repair. The only issue of note is there is some discolouration to the back of the sleeve. It doesn’t affect the text or anything so have a look at the photo of the backcover to see what I mean. The spine is very clear and readable

Vinyl Side 1: A couple of light marks around tracks 5 and 6 and under the light you can see a few hairline scratches and some light wear (maybe sleeve removal marks?). The same hairline scratches and light wear issues for side 2. But you can’t feel anything to the touch so I’m presuming these issues don’t affect the audio.

The labels are just stunning for the age of the record.
