Richard & Linda Thompson - I Want To See The Bright Lights Tonight
This is the 1974 LP released on Island Records - Cat # ILPS-9266.
Visual and play graded to Goldmine Standard - Vinyl is VG+, sleeve is VG+.
Vinyl - I very nearly went NM on this one, there is hardly a mark on it. Really nice colour and shape and doesn't look played, just has one small blemish on one side. Fantastic condition for a record of it's age. I've listened through several parts of both sides and it confirmed the condition. I couldn't hear any surface noise and the sound was excellent VG+ (almost NM!)
Sleeve - Can't find a mark on it. Nice and stiff, no dents or edge wear. Card inner with lyrics has slight discolouration to the sides. VG+
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- About the seller:
I am a record collector myself and have been buying vinyl online since the 90's. I started selling on Ebay a few months ago and have sold 40+ records so far with no complaints - please check my feedback. I am now selling a collection of around 400 LPs that I have inherited from a family friend that have been in storage for over 25 years. They have been stored upright in a smoke free home for that time.
Grading:
I grade records using the "Goldmine Standard." If you are not familiar with this you can google it and find details quite easily. None of the records I am selling are Mint (unopened, unused) so will normally be NM, VG+ or VG. I give a separate grading for the vinyl and the sleeve. I do not have time to listen to each record fully but after careful visual inspection I always listen to any parts that have marks that look like they will even slightly affect the sound. I always try to give as much information as possible and highlight in the photos any wear. Basically the last thing I want is the buyer to have any surprises when receiving the record.
Postage & packing:
All records are sent in a polythene sleeve in a corrugated cardboard mailer and with stiffeners. I normally post the next working day and always within two. I do not make any profit from P&P - Once Ebay and Paypal have taken their percentage and I pay for the mailer, sleeve and the postage itself, I just about break even. If you wish to buy more than one record and combine the shipping, please contact me first so I can check the records fit into one mailer. Then after you purchase I will send you an invoice with combined shipping costs before you pay.
Any questions, please ask!
