This auction is for a very rare original 1968 stereo UK 1st press of the George Harrison solo LP 'Wonderwall Music' on the Apple label.

Wonderwall Music was George Harrison's first solo album and was released in 1968. It was also the first ever solo album issued by a member of the Beatles, and was also the first ever release on the newly formed Apple label. Harrison used the project as an opportunity to educate rock audiences to Indian musical instruments.

Unfortunately though this album sold very, very poorly and in very small amounts. It was released on November 1st, 1968 and sold so poorly that it didn't even touch the UK charts. It was then promptly deleted from the Apple catalogue in the early 70's. Today it is getting increasingly more difficult to find this album due to how poorly it sold and would look great in any Beatles, Harrison or Apple collection!

The Cover : EX-

The cover is holding up really, really nicely! The front cover is very clean with just a very light rubbing and there's a hint of disc impression and a few little creases in the laminate around the edge. There's a little dirt buildup around the very edges where the laminate has shrunk back a little. Top seam has a small rub in the middle, about an inch or so across, but hasn't split through the cardboard. Bottom seam is holding tight with no splits or tears. The spine is intact and fully legible with no wear or splits. The back cover is very clean with no disc impression or wear (something the unlaminated backs were notorious for). Overall the cover is looking really, really nice! Very clean example.   Disc (Visually Graded Only!!) : VG

The playing surface has a really nice, sharp shine to it but does have a lot of light surface scuffs all over along with soem slightly heavier looking scuffs. However, I don't see anything nasty or deep or anything, and I'd imagine that this disc would probably play through without skips, but maybe a little crackle.
.

Labels : VG+

The labels are very clean with no stickers, tera or writing or anything. There's some light spindlewear and a touch of whitening around the centrehole. Nice labels!
