This listing is for the following LP:

Prince - Self Titled. Warner Bros K56772, UK, 1979. Matrix numbers A1/B1 (Strawberry).

Vinyl Grade EX-

There are a few minor surface marks per side. The record lies flat and has a nice glossy sheen. The labels have only a few spindle marks.

Side 1 plays superbly with no crackle or loud clicks, sticks or jumps etc, only a handful of very quiet background ticks. Side 2 has slight surface noise which to me sounds like it comes from the pressing - this is only audible in some quiet parts (especially at the start of the side and between tracks) and is masked about 90% of the time. Again there is no loud crackle, clicks, jumps or sticks.

The sleeve is EX with only light wear and tear - mainly feathering on the opening edge. It is still protected in shrinkwrap. The inner sleeve is also excellent.

If you have any questions then please ask.

I use the following grading system: (This is a guideline only as, unless a record has been played through to check, there is no guarantee it will sound the way it looks - ie a record that looks perfect can still have faults and a record that looks like the surface of an ice rink can still play perfectly!)

NM Near Mint - the vinyl looks in immaculate condition with few signs of having been played and the sleeve looks almost as new with crisp edges and no wear or tear or fading of colours.

EX+ Excellent - The vinyl is in excellent condition with only a couple of hairlines or small surface marks. As with nearly all vinyl there could be the odd random tick. The cover might have very minor wear and tear or the odd tiny scuff or stain.

EX Excellent - as EX+ but with a few more hairlines. Slightly more scuffing on the sleeve, but still very minor.

EX- As EX but marginally worse. Cover still excellent but with the odd corner or edge scuff or small crease.

VG+ Very Good Plus - Vinyl will show more signs of play and include surface marks and lines which may produce some light clicking on a couple of the tracks or some background crackle. Sleeve will have some wear and tear like light scuffs, slight ringwear or discolouration.

VG Very Good - As VG+ but with slightly more marks/lines. Sleeve will have slightly more wear and tear etc, slight discolouration, maybe even a small, light biro mark or a deletion cut or hole.

VG- As VG but with more marks/lines possibly producing clicks or crackle on more of the tracks. More pronounced wear and tear or marking on the sleeve.

G Good - The vinyl shows signs of heavy play and will have widespread surface marks and some light scratches which may produce louder clicking and crackle (and possibly jumps or sticks) on some of the tracks. There could be slight distortion and sound deterioration. Usually still listenable if you can tune out crackle and clicks. The cover will have any of numerous defects such as creasing, ringwear, small tears, discolouration, writing and scuffing but will still be fully intact.
