Franklin Joseph "Frankie" Lymon (1942-1968) was an American rock and roll/rhythm and blues singer and songwriter, best known as the boy soprano lead singer of the New York City-based early rock and roll group, The Teenagers. The group was composed of five boys, all in their early to mid-teens. The original lineup of the Teenagers, an integrated group, included three African-American members, Frankie Lymon, Jimmy Merchant, and Sherman Garnes, and two Puerto Rican members, Herman Santiago and Joe Negroni. Here is there first big hit (#6 on Billboard) from 1955 on Gee records GG-1002 with "Why Do Fools Fall In Love" and "Please Be Mine" the record visually grades a V+ or better on the VJM scale and plays better with no skips pops or distortion and near no surface noise. Please look at the pictures and ask any questions, I wipe records with a microfiber cloth I do not chemically clean them, always open to offers and thank you for looking.
