Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields directed by Neville Marriner.
Rossini String Sonatas no 1, 3, 5 & 6
The LP is in VG+/EX condition. There is no surface noise to speak of, and only a few faint pops/ticks. There are a 2 short repetitive ticks in the first track of side two, and a longer one at the beginning of track 2. The cover is in VG+/EX condition. Essentially it is in clean and sturdy shape, but there is some fraying on the right hand edge and on the bottom right hand corner, and a few light creases.
This is a wonderful record which should be in everyone's collection. The line up of the ensemble at that time was sensational...Marriner, Hugh Maguire, Iona Brown, Stephen Shingles, Kenneth Essex, just to name a few! The playing is top notch, and it is a recording one can return to time and time again.
This LP comes from a large collection of records owned by a retired music professor that I am selling on his behalf. There are some gems in the collection which I will post for auction soon. I do no grade the records visually, I listen to them in their entirety and try to give as accurate description of the condition as I can.
If purchasing more than one LP please wait for a revised invoice before making payment. If you have any postage preferences then contact me as soon as possible to let me know. I send parcels by first class, but am happy to revise this and the postage cost, and send them 2nd class if you prefer. For international buyers, if you want to have your LP sent as a registered parcel to be signed for, please contact me before making your payment.
