Title Please Please Me Year of Release 1963 Catalogue Number PMC 1202 Label Yellow / Black Parlophone with no 'Sold in UK' statement, Parlo rimtext and 'Rec' text. Tax Code on Disc MT (Side 1) Sleeve Manufacturer Ernest J. Day Side 1 Matrix Number XEX 421-1N Side 2 Matrix Number XEX 422-1N Side 1 Stampers 15 / ROP Side 2 Stampers 3 15 / ROH Sleeve Condition The sleeve is in VG condition. The sleeve is looking nice for its age (most turn up pretty trashed) but does have some light wear and tear as you can see in the photos below. The front is clean with a little laminate rubbing and small creasing around the edges. Top seam is intact. Bottom seam has a couple of little knocks but is holding fine. Spine has a few little creases running through it but is holding fine with no splitting and all the text is fully legible. The back has some light disc impression and a little, light staining around the mouth edge. There's a little damage to the top overflap. Overall, holding up fine but showing its age. Inner Sleeve Condition The inner sleeve is in VG condition. The original Emitex plastic-lined inner sleeve is included. It has some creasing and showing some wear - mostly around the opening - but the bag is stuck tight inside and there are no splits. Inserts Condition - Disc Condition
(VISUALLY GRADED) The disc is in VG+ condition. The playing surface is clean with a nice shine. There's some light scuffing along with a few slightly heavier looking scuffs, but nothing at all nasty or serious looking. Very nice, especially as the vast majority of copies that turn up are pretty rough. Label Condition The labels are in EX condition. The labels are looking nice and clean with no writing, stickers, tears etc. There's just some light spindlewear and a little whitening around the centrehole.

My Regarding Vinyl Grading:

MINT No true preowned disc can be mint. The highest I will ever grade a disc is NM+/M- if it looks untouched and unplayed, but the MINT description will only be for records I personally know have never been played (i.e. I personally bought from new) or for copies that are still sealed. NEAR MINT (NM) For discs that look near flawless and which may have just the slightest, barely visible little whispy marks here and there. EXCELLENT (EX) For discs that still retain a brilliant, clean shine but does have some light scuffs here and there. VERY GOOD (VG) For discs that still look clean and have a nice shine to them, but do have a fair amount of light scuffmarks and/or some light scratches. GOOD (G) For discs that look like they have been loved and have a fair amount of scuffs and surface scratches. Not in terrible condition, but would look like it would play with a lot of crackle. FAIR (F) For discs that may have some life left in them but are pretty trashed with numerous surface scuffs and heavier scuffs and scratches etc POOR (P) For discs that are unplayable and look completely trashed. Discs like this would only ever be offered if they were insanely rare.
