Suspiria

original motion picture soundtrack - music by Goblin

Format: LP

Record Label: Death Waltz

Condition: New (I opened this copy carefully along the seam to check the color of the vinyl, but left the plastic shrink wrap otherwise intact - I took pictures, which you can see above - I put it in a plastic sleeve and separated the record to prevent seam splits during shipping)

* High quality 2017 reissue - 40th anniversary edition - very limited variant on yellow vinyl - gatefold sleeve - also includes a 2-sided insert
* In co-operation with AMS, Cinevox & Light In The Attic, Death Waltz Recording Company is thrilled to be bringing you our own version of the classic Goblin score to Suspiria, with all new artwork by Randy Ortiz.
* Probably the scariest soundtrack Goblin has ever written; it seems that the score was composed before the film was ready, so that director Dario Argento had to make some changes to the movie script, in order to have the music perfectly suited. This legendary soundtrack combines elements of music and scary sound effects going far beyond traditional background scoring, becoming an integral part of the film. As critics say nowadays, the music "is so perfectly integrated into the film, fares less well as a stand-alone item. All that pounding, howling, thumbing, and wheezing is enough to send chills down your spine even without the movie images (it is the perfect imaginary soundtrack), but not all of it could be called a pleasant listening experience (unless your idea of pleasant is having your nerves set on edge)."
