This is from my own collection, I am not a dealer, in the next few months I am selling off part of my collection, some rarities and collectable, no filler! Thanks for looking!

Please note that this album is complete and original 1st Track Records UK pressing on the black label and is priced for its rarity and attraction to collectors rather than for its condition, it is now 50 years from release in May 67 !

the sound quality of these rare first presses wipes the floor in our view with the new reissues but over to the listener....

Awesome audio on this
Collectors A1 B1 1967 original "Near Excellent" vinyl
A 1968 UK 1st press in Mono "super rare" in good order

This has a different track listing to the US version and is now extremely hard to find in good order only some 100,000 were sold on the UK track label

Notably the UK Track Mono issue includes a incredible studio "live take" of Red House,,
This was left off the US copies,

Jimi was performing this nightly in London at the time of recording and it stayed in his live set throughout his career, there are reportedly no overdubs this was a "live studio one take" from late 1966 early 67 in Londpn.
De Lane Lea and Olympic studios were the venues to get this amazing collection on tape.

these are increasing in value and getting harder and harder to find in good order.

Photo of Jimis Mayfair residence in London England is not included lots were songs written in bed according to Jimi.

The UK sales on Track were reasonable for a new artist at 100,000 copies,

compared to 5,000,000 in the US!

To explain you can limit this further as "Stereo" was being launched as a format in 66 and 67 and later re presses were released in Stereo only..so how many Mono A1 B1 are left? how many are in good order?

We have heard learned estimates of 5,000 or less being likely, break down to 25% in good or better there could be very few of these 50 year old originals around now.

the original Mono pressing have "that sound" for us, the US versions are generally poorer quality presses in our experience, its possible that less than a few thousand Track Mono pressings still exist in playable order 50 years later...this is A1 B1 so the very very first of the presses available to the public of Jimis blistering Debut...recorded in London and released in London 1967 first on the iconic "UK Black Track label"

Please ask Questions on any aspect of this record!
we will try to accommodate...

Jimi Hendrixs amazing and historic debut album recorded in swinging London 1966/7...Jimi was having a ball being in the centre of the London scene and was blowing away all the competition.

This was recorded October 66 to April 67 in Olympic and De Lane Lea studios in London this was followed up quickly by "Axis Bold As Love" in the same year as Jimi was required to produce 2 albums for Track in that year, Jimi was playing and recording in London almost every day so this was no problem for the experience.

The classics are here and super fresh sound on this great audio copy, Foxy Lady opens and there is no let up like his live shows in London at the time the "100 club" "bag o nails" and the Marquee all were the testing grounds for this amazing debut form the all too short career of Jimi Hendrix
Red House was a staple blues in his live set for most of Jims career Fire, Are you Experienced? all are here...recorded for Mono and in glorious Mono here on this original 1st Press from 1967.

Look our other Hendrix items for sale we have a MONO smash hits also on offer they make a great pair!
essentially this was Jimis live set on record at the time " a real time capsule"

This is a "Near Excellent condition* copy with *made in Great Britain* at 6 oclock as it should be on a first press, the classic Black Track UK label.

There are a few light surface lines, some marks and small hairlines and removal marks and light scuffs under strong light, this is a are find on the original UK track record label from 1967
no skips or jumps at all on playback.

The original UK mono copies from 1967 are now so hard to find in this condition you can see £300+ is not unusual , here for less than £200 is a bargain....

The record Nr Ex( excellent on most tracks) only  light lines and scuffs keeps this away from excellent!

This is a mono copy and sounds awesome and easily our favorite over the stereo copies.

The Record

A1 B1 matrixes (the very earliest 1967 press)

This is in near excellent shape no writing or stickers on labels and light scratches a few spindle lines there are some light scrathes hairlines and removal scuffs under strong light this is 49 year old vinyl no skips or jumps on our Rega 3 or our super fussy light tracking Kenwood deck.
Great early matt black Track UK labels (see photos)

We play tested this on two different decks our Rega 3 also on our super fussy Kenwood deck with very light tracking and there are no skips or jumps to worry about here.

We want to be very clear this is not a "mint or near mint" 50 year old copy, it has been played and should continue to be played and enjoyed as a great vinyl to own.

In very good condition with some surface scratches, scuffs from sleeve removal and general light hairlines, over the years, bear in mind this is a 50 year old vinyl record! Nice fat pre oil crisis 60s vinyl wow !

So thick and fat vinyl...  pre 70s oil crisis weight superb!

See pictures in the listing you can see the scratches and light surface lines on the record, nothing serious and in keeping with its 50 years life.

There is some static crackle in quieter passages and intros, but this is not obtrusive to the playback.

Plays clear with bright crisp sound may benefit from a professional clean (we don't do this as it's an individual thing) some background static is noticeable in the quieter passages but not many of those here! Foxy ! Manic Depression, Fire are all incredible on any good deck, wipes the floor with the recent reissues no contest, punchy clear bass and drums. just the greatest mix in MONO.

The Cover

Very Good Condition

Been kept in a PVC sleeve for most of its life in great shape from a smoke free home.

Bright vibrant colour , the spine is showing wear but not ripped or broken (see photos in listing) There are no writing names on the cover. There is hostoric water stain on the rear black and white credits and track list side (see photo) this is the original cover.

There are bright clear colours on the front side are in great order there is little laminate creasing (see photos in listing) but bearing in mind its 50 year journey all good. cover is solid no writing, splits or tears or tape.

Having done it's job over 50 years the sleeve has some pf the usual soiling/creasing removal wear on rear entry/exit side and shows some ringwear (see photos)

There is a historic water mark damage on rear top (see pic) overall is VGC   because of this only. Cover is very good condition,  the front photo side has some laminate creasing. Clear colours.

The colours are good and not a lot fading, the thick card holds up well, no stickers or tape on the sleeve, this is a keeper for any Hendrix fan wanting an original MONO 67 1st UK Pressing.

on the whole a good workable sleeve in good order and a very very collectable Nr Ex vinyl with for us awesome sound quality!

This is great heavy flat Track 60s vinyl and has deep lustre wow!

This is a great affordable upgrade and a keeper!
