Laughing Song
George W. Johnson
Recorded November 18th, 1896
Likely in Philadelphia.
One of the top hits of the 1890's and the first African-American believed to be recorded.  Copied from an above average condition original with a tight crack at 6 O'clock.

This listing is for the disc pictured.  You will receive the physical disc seen.  It is a high quality reproduction of a VG+ or better condition original Berliner.  The discs I'm selling are not "dubs" or re-cuts, they're molded from original discs and new copies manufactured from a "shellac compatible" resin.  It will play on vintage equipment with steel needles.  The backs are unfinished (similar to the originals) and have "Made in 2018" engraved on the back.
These discs are perfect for people who wish to hear copies played on original equipment without concern of wearing out an original disc.  They're also perfect for framing or arts/craft projects.  They're thicker than the originals and are less fragile (but will break if badly abused), and will ship in a padded envelope, wrapped in cardboard.
All my discs are made in the USA using American materials.

Insured shipping in the USA is $5.  International shipping is at cost.
