An original 1974 UK first edition press of Gram Parsons’ second solo LP, Grievous Angel, on vinyl. The album was released four months after Gram’s death from a drug and alcohol overdose. Like his first album, it features guest vocals by Emmylou Harris. The album contains some of Gram’s all-time classic songs, including the brilliant ‘$1,000 Wedding’, which is considered one of the all time greatest tracks in the country rock cannon.

Vinyl Condition: Very Good

There are a couple of hairline scratches on the record but no deep scratches to report on. I’ve played the album on a few occasions and it plays perfectly from start to finish with minimal surface noise (and by minimal, I mean you’ll be hard-pressed to hear any). As with all the records I sell on eBay, I have cleaned and re-played the record prior to listing. I shall also be sending it in a Nagaoka No. 102 Anti-Static Sleeve.

Cover Condition: Good+

The cover is in pretty fine condition. You can see a circular ring mark at the top of the cover where it has faded to the shape of the record. As you can see from the photos, this doesn’t taint the overall look of the cover. There are no splits on the bottom, top or spine. I shall deliver the cover in a plastic sleeve for extra protection.

Grading System Explained

Mint:
Vinyl is in perfect condition and has never been played. Sleeve is sealed/unopened. This grade is only issued to records that are, quite literally, as good as new. We're talking 'fresh out of the pressing plant' quality.

Near Mint: Vinyl is almost perfect. The likelihood is that the record has never played. However, it has probably been taken out of its sleeve and handled. Sleeve has likely been opened but is in near perfect condition.

Very Good+: Small signs of play and handling, such as slight scuff marks. These won't taint enjoyment of the record in any way and the record will play perfectly from start to finish. Cover may have very light signs of wear.

Very Good: Surface noise evident upon playing, particularly during soft passages of play, intros and fades. There are likely to be light scratches on the record. Cover and sleeve may have sticker residue marks or writing on them.

Good / Good+: Surface noise, scratches and groove wear is evident. However, record plays through without skipping. Sleeve may have seam splits, most notably at the bottom and on the spine.

Poor / Fair: The record is cracked, badly warped and won't play through without skipping or repeating. The cover is so damaged that it hardly keeps the record inside it. Inner sleeves are split at the bottom and sides.
