This is from my own collection I am not a dealer, over the next few months I am selling of part of my collection all rarities and collectible no filler!

one of the rarest and greatest of Jimi Hendrix classic UK Track releases ....in Stereo.. Jimi insisted on total controll of the recordings on this albulm even pressing and cutting used , clearly this was expensive so the story goes that only the early cuts were done to this standard....

Here is Ladyland Complete the famous `BLUE TEXT` double set ! i wont write too much here, there is a lot on internet about mistake etc. there was no mistake this is the original cover before printers issues forced revision to `white text` later vinyls also have `a two record set` on the label, its over to the listeners, this is a great audio copy.

(Part2 and part 1 also available see our other listings)

JIMI HENDRIX ELECTRIC LADYLAND ORIGINAL 1968 UK TRACK DOUBLE LP 613008 / 09

Great Blue text Laminate in near ex condition on sleeve(pvc stored many years) laminate in great order for 50 years, seldom seen like this

Please note that this album is complete and original 1st UK pressing and is priced for its rarity and attraction to collectors vinyls are "Excellent" condition
this has great audio!

Great copy, clear audio no skips or jumps on our Rega 3, would grade as Excellent condition , here is a real beauty ( some hairline scratches and  removal scuffs which don't affect playback) some light static in quieter passages which may improve with a professional clean.

Jimi on its launch said " I made this album with Stereo in mind" so listen..
Jimi had insisted on full controll at all stages of the sound recording process and Chas Chandler and Track agreed, even to the cutting and pressing plant,

with the delays that followed Track quickly insisted on faster production `they wanted product in the shops now`   so its reported only the first early presses were made this way, later copies can be good but this one is an original....wow a real gem.

Tracks include , Electric Ladyland, Crosstown Traffic, Gipsy Eyes, Voodoo Chile (extended original version and slight return) Long Hot Summer Night...Rainyday women, Come on...
most;y recorded in Electric Lady studios in Greenwich Village New York in 68 Jimmy was living and playing there every day and the music here is some of his best work ...

as Jimi said at the time "i made this album with "stereo" in mind , "

great colors to describe the sky ...
NOTE `burning of the midnight lamp` was actually released on the `UK MONO` smash hits 5 months before Electric Ladyland was released. we are selling an excllent Mono smash hits , see other items.

The double album NORMALLY sells now with "Blue Text" for around £325 on average in VGC condition, this is way way  better than average and real keeper, sleeve near ex vinyls are excellent there are some light trails on the vinyls , audio is excellent. A great buy FOR UNDER 480 GBP.

The "Electric Ladyland" Album on original track labels 1st pressings at a great price ... this record sounds so good and clear, no problems to report.

this is the original 1968 first press Matrixes on UK Track records.

The "Ladies" cover

The amazing blue text was no error! as you can see here .....the "blue Text" was used so no Printers errors etc...." this is the original 1968 first press on UK Track records.#
The sleeve
Nr excellent
Has the larger sepia photos of Noel Redding and Mitch Mitchel which only the `blue text` copies have.
Only slight laminate creasing or the rear of the sleeve, front is very very clean , look at the great laminate condition in photos, no writing, names, stickers or tears, in great shape for 50 years! kept safe in its pvc sleeve for many years , its not perfect as this has been handled and is almost 50. gatefold pics and inside laminate very very clean.

The records
Label with  side A AND D on ONE disc NO ERROR!

to explain these were made for old style auto changers so you could play side A then drop side B, then then turn both over drop side C then D etc....(perish the thought!) but yes they did!

NOTE we see many reports of "hey Ive got a rare press A and D..." (this is normal )
Excellent   A1 B2 and A2 B2 "Hand Etched and corrected MATRIX very early copy "

This is very early in the run and great audio playback.

`there are no writing or stickers on labels` GREAT CONDITION , some spider trails but looking good.

great labels slight spindle marks plays clean, some light lines only with some hairline scratches and small removal scuffs no issues on our Rega 3 or the super fussy light tracking Kenwood deck we use to grade, few light pops in quiter parts but nothing to disrupt pleasure of this great recording (we have not cleaned as this is a personal thing) this is a first press in great order!

no writing stickers or names on labels.

has the original polydor (plastic bags can be dangerous) inners in reasonable shape

Plays fantastic with bright clear sound and amazing bass, may benefit from a professional clean (we don't do this as it's an individual thing) some background static is noticeable in the quieter passages but nothing to disrupt playing no sticks or jumps on our Rega 3.

any questions please ask!
