Evidence of value: you’ll also need to show the item’s value or estimated repair costs, with sales receipts or invoices.
As applicable, proof of damage or loss of contents: if your customer received a damaged item or items are missing from a package, advise them to hang on to the contents they received and the associated packing materials until your claim is settled. They may be asked to take them to their local Post Office for inspection.
The USPS recommends filing immediately when damage or partial loss occurs. The timeframe for Priority Mail is seven to 90 days from the date of mailing. When all the documents are in order, claims are usually paid within 30 days.

Message me through eBay messages and explain your concern. It is not necessary to open a case. All items are guaranteed to be represented by grades in the description posted. Buyer is responsible for return shipping charges unless other arrangements are made. Buyer must first contact seller. Refunds will be made only after return shipment to, and re-inspection by the seller. All items I sell have recorded micro marks to assure that any item that is returned is the same item that was sent. I are not financially responsible for mishandling of parcels by any courier service.

Visually grade records:   

Mint (M): Album is still sealed in original shrinkwrap and has never been opened.

Near Mint (NM): Album has been opened and most likely played but is blemish free and as close to new as possible.

Excellent Plus (EX+) Album is very close to NM but may show more signs that it has been played. A very minor, unfeelable mark or two that has no affect on play may be noticed.

Excellent (EX): Album does show the most minor signs of usage, nothing that would effect sound quality.

Very Good Plus (VG+): Album will show some signs of wear and may have some minor scratches or scuffs. These albums I will usually play to gauge the sound quality. If there are any issues I will post them.

Very Good (VG): Album has obvious signs of usage. There are most likely blemishes that will affect sound quality.

Visually grade covers :

Mint (M): Cover is perfect in every way - likely still sealed or in the shrink. 

Near Mint (NM): Cover is in fantastic condition and may still be in it’s shrinkwrap. Very, very minor signs of wear may be apparent. 

Excellent (EX): Cover is in great shape but will show the most minor signs of usage. Small amounts of wear on the corners or seams are possible, but no writing or other blemishes.

Very Good Plus (VG+): Cover will shows signs that it was used. No seam splits or heavy wear, but corners and seams will show wear. There may be the possibility of a previous owners name written on the cover, stickers or bent corners, etc. Cover graphics may have flecking or show a ring from the record.

Very Good (VG): Cover will show wear on seams and corners. Seam splits are possible. Cover graphics will be worn. Covers with heavy writing on them will earn this ranking.

Good (G): Cover is in not in great shape but will still be functional. Generally I will not list albums with covers in this shape unless the album itself is in excellent shape and the cover is the only concern or if the album is extremely rare or valuable and there may still be interest in spite of condition.

Album and cover grading is not an exact science and is subject to the opinion of the grader. I strive to be as precise as possible. If you have any questions about our grading system or a particular item please don't hesitate to contact us.

SEALED UNOPENED VINTAGE RECORDS ARE THE ONLY LPS I  CONSIDER TO BE IN MINT CONDITION.SEALED VINTAGE LPS IN ORIGINAL CELLOPHANE USUALLY SHOW SIGNS OF NORMAL WEAR FROM 20-60 YEARS OF AGING…STORAGE WEAR…AND MAY HAVE A SLIGHT TEAR..ETC..I DO NOT GRADE CELLOPHANE PLEASE REFER TO PICTURES.A SEALED LP HAS NEVER BEEN PLAYED AND IS CONSIDERED MINT.

I take extra care to describe the item in great detail to minimize any miss-information. Please be sure to look closely at the photos.

 ALL PREOWNED /USED / VINTAGE LP COVERS SHOW SIGNS OF NORMAL WEAR..AND MAY HAVE A CREASE …RINGWEAR…OR OTHER SLIGHT IMPERFECTION FROM STORAGE AND NORMAL WEAR ..RECORD PLAY AND  AGING...SOME PREOWNED LP COVERS ARE CUTOUTS FROM THE RECORD COMPANIES ..CUT OUTS ARE SOMETIMES A CUT OFF CORNER ...A ONE INCH NOTCH OR A HOLE PUNCH. SOME OLDER COVERS MAY HAVE A MUSTY SMELL OR SMOKE SMELL DUE TO PURCHASING RECORDS AT YARD SALES THESE TYPES OF IMPERFECTIONS ARE BEYOND MY CONTROL. I DO NOT LIST HIGHLY SMELLY RECORDS BUT IN THE EVENT YOU ARE MORE SENSTIVE TO AN ODER THAN I AM, I SURELY UNDERSTAND AND I WILL OFFER A FULL REFUND PLUS I WILL PAY YOU TO SHIP IT BACK USING MEDIA MAIL.
