This one has solid punchy audio on this 1971 recording great nice flat 70s pre oil crisis vinyl with no warping or other worrying faults... 

This first *ICONIC 1971 UK Vertigo* estimated sold only around 50,000 in 71  how many are left...

 not available in this format in USA and Canada! where it went gold and later platinum founding the bones of *stoner rock* Nirvanna famously cite this album as *the one* a real time piece and collectors find. growing in value and a great listen!  recorded at island studios London in early 71.

so what here you get the better quality *lower volume* UK pressings on thick 70s vinyl and the Iconic UK Black and White Vertigo *Swirl* label.

This is an " Near Ex* Vault stored copy, would be excellent only clicks at start to `solitude` keeps this away from ex.

the original "Vertigo Swirl" inner is present!, no rips or tears aged nearly 47! it is a little faded yellowed see photos.

Near Excellent condition

The labels are super clean this has been stored for many many years

Near EX condition on this 1970 1st Pressing 636050-1Y and 636050-2Y,

a real timepiece , has surface scuffs, see photos, stored upright in PVC jacket for many years.some light removal lines a few surface hairlines to report there are removal scuffs under strong light, still a finders dream with near ex cover and poster!

plays incredible with some light background noise could benefit from a professional clean, we don't do this its a personal thing. some light "clicks " in the quieter passages, a scratch clicks on intro to *Solitude* but the overall volume of the music is easily enjoyable on the 47 year old vinyl, super shiny clean fat pre oil crisis 70s vinyl (see pics) great swirl labels side 2 has some finger marks to label nothing serious ....

the original "Vertigo Swirl" inner is present along with a new lined sleeve. the original swirl inner has aged and yellowed slightly .

 

we can supply a reproduction new Verigo swirl if required.. please ask... , the original is here to maintain continuity. 

The Cover

Near Ex Condition 

Great incredible original 1971  `Embossed Box cover` super rare now "high gloss laminate finish" a real find with almost zero ringwear to rear, no writing stickers or tape to report. Very hard to find in this condition.

the top opening cover normally suffers this one is in good order with no serious damage, some laminate

 cracked around opening folding edge see top edge pic. nothing serious no *worrying faults!* its got storage wear but in amazing order for almost 47 years! only slight laminate creasing keeping it away from EX .

very light rounding at corners , no splits or tears to worry about.

no writing stickers or tape to report. no worrying faults....

 

the reproduction poster is really nice quality clear clean and not a lot of handling evident, truly a collectors find. no holes, tape or writing and no worrying faults a great sleeve that would be *Excellent* only the laminate on lid cracking and lines keeping it *Near Ex* a nice box cover not flatened like many.

Plays without any skips or jumps, amazing bass on this , may benefit from a professional clean (we don't do this as it's an individual thing) background static is noticeable in the quieter passages and some clicks nothing to disrupt playing no sticks or jumps on our Rega 3.
