Artist: Queen Title: A Day At The Races Label: EMI Cat. No.: 5C 062-98485 Printed in: The Netherlands Year: 1976
Grading: I do my very best to grade my albums fairly, not just with a visual inspection but also by giving the entire album a listen. You won't see me describing a 50-year-old album as 'Near Mint' just because it looks decent enough...
Record rating: VG+ (This album has been used. There is some background crackle that is audible on quieter parts, but other than that there are no real audible defects as far as I have been able to discern, and the surface of the record seems in good condition.) Cover rating: VG+ (The outer sleeve has some creases along its edges. The inner sleeve is original, but has creases and has been mended with scotch tape.)
Track listing:
Side 1 Tie Your Mother Down (4:47) You Take My Breath Away (5:09) Long Away (3:34) The Millionaire Waltz (4:55) You And I (3:27)
Side 2 Somebody to Love (4:56) White Man (4:59) Good Old-Fashioned Lover Boy (2:55) Drowse (3:43) Teo Torriatte (Let Us Cling Together) (5:54) Shipping: This item will be posted from London (United Kingdom), within 24 hours of receiving payment. Within the UK, I offer a choice between Royal Mail 1st and 2nd class shipping. For shipping to other European countries, I use Royal Mail International Standard. If you would like to request a different shipping method, please send me a message before you place a bid.
The quoted shipping costs include postage and packaging (more info on how I pack my records below). If shipping turns out to be cheaper than my quoted figure (which can be the case for international orders), I will refund you the difference. Likewise, if you purchase multiple albums from me then total shipping costs are likely to be cheaper; in this case I will also refund you the difference.
Packaging: A picture illustration of how I package my records can be seen in the photos for this listing.
My packaging method aims to prevent damage to the record and inner sleeve (which often happens during shipment if the record is left inside the inner sleeve), and to provide effective protection against bending and rough handling during shipment: The record is taken out of the inner sleeve, and placed in between the album cover and the inner sleeve. This sandwich is placed in a plastic outer record sleeve, which helps to keep everything in place and provides protection if the package were to get wet at any point. Stiff cardboard inserts are placed on both sides to prevent bending of the package, and secured tightly with tape to stop the contents from moving around. A layer of bubble wrap is added to both sides, and again secured tightly with tape. The resulting package is placed in a cardboard record envelope, which is sealed with tape. If the package becomes too thick (which can happen for double albums or when multiple albums are purchased), a bigger cardboard record mailer will be used instead. This method will provide a lot better protection than you will get from the average record seller on Ebay. If you would nonetheless like to request a different packaging method, please let me know before you place your bid and I will see what can be done.
Some final thoughts: - Please carefully read this item's description and look at the pictures, so that you are aware of what you are buying and of the condition of the record. - If you have ANY questions, remarks or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. I always aim to respond quickly. - Have a look at my other listings as well; I have a few more records up for auction that end around the same time as this one - including 3 more Queen ones. If you purchase multiple items, this will lead to discounted shipping costs (I will refund you the difference if you have paid too much).
