QUEEN - The Works. EMI EMC 24 0014 1, UK, 1984. Matrix numbers A2/B1.

Play Grade: EX+

(Based on snippets played across both sides): All the parts I played sounded excellent with no crackle or clicks. The start of each side was quiet and it was quiet between tracks.

Vinyl: VG

There are a few hairlines/marks but these are non-sounding, as noted above.

Sleeve: G+

The sleeve is generally great but with some light creasing and staining on the front - see pics. the inner lyric sleeve is VG+.

I use the following grading system:

NM Near Mint - the vinyl looks in immaculate condition with no signs of having been played and the sleeve looks as new with crisp edges and no wear or tear or fading of colours.

EX+ Excellent - The vinyl is in excellent condition with only a couple of hairlines or surface marks. As with nearly all vinyl there could be the odd random tick. The cover will have only very minor wear and tear.

EX Excellent - as EX+ but with more hairlines. Slightly more wear and tear on the sleeve, but still very minor.

EX- As EX but slightly worse.

VG+ Very Good Plus - Vinyl will show more signs of play and include some surface marks and lines. Sleeve will have some wear and tear like light scuffs, slight ringwear or discolouration.

VG Very Good - As VG+ but with more marks/lines. Sleeve will have slightly more wear and tear etc, slight discolouration, maybe even a small, light biro mark or a deletion cut or hole.

VG- As VG but slightly worse.

G Good - The vinyl shows signs of frequent play and will have widespread surface marks and light scratches which could produce clicking and crackle on some of the tracks. There could be light distortion or sound deterioration. The cover will have any of numerous defects such as creasing, tears, ringwear, discolouration, writing and scuffing but will still be in one piece.
