THUNDERCAT Final Fight Vinyl 7" Japan Import Holographic Sleeve Thundercat presets Final Fight / Bowzer's Ballad, a limited edition Japanese import 7" housed in a wicked holographic sleeve and featuring a tribute to the late Nintendo boss Hiroshi Yamauchi.
Final Flight continues the hip-hop and jazz vibe of Drunk with a fresh full glass of squiggly basslines and soulful vocals that dart hip-hop and Jazz tempos with all the expertise of a mind and voice very much in tune with each genre. Bowzer's Ballad meanwhile turns towards the circuit board sounds of many an hour spent with Mario and Luigi, floating free within the pixelated world of Nintendo. Recorded in tribute to the late, great Hiroshi Yamauchi, its heart string tugging arrangement of chiptune melodies and sinuous keys translate the universal language of youth into something both audibly elegant and within the context, deeply moving.
