This is a super rare keeper
for life,
an `excellent` quality vinyl
a collectors must have `Green Spine` copy LOOK CLOSE AT THE PHOTOS
you will see a `Green ` border and on the rear sleeve a `green`or `Turquoise`colour a `Super Rare` item
this was only added on the first 1000 copies almost unknown to come up for sale
`The Holy Grail` of Led Zep ii
The rarest Led Zeppelin record ii out there...possibly , these are reported to have been made as
few as 1000, `GREEN SPINE` COPY SEE PICTURES
The labels are "good condition" are clean bright and free of writing doodles or stickers and retain great bold colours. (see pictures) the quality of this A2B2 first press is amazing for its years.
This is from my own collection, I am not a dealer, in the
next few months I am selling off part of my collection many rarities
and collectable, no filler! Thanks for looking!
Please
note that this album is complete and original 1st UK pressing and is
priced for its rarety and attraction for collection purposes, the record and sleeve are original and 49 years
old
Led zeppelin II recorded on their "mayhem tours" in USA in 1969,
this is very much the sound of a band at work and finding their
direction.
The classic tracks are here by the bucketful, Whole Lotta Love,
Lemon Song, Heartbreaker all jump off the grooves with incredible
clarity.
Page got what he wanted here soundwise and the mixing done at
various locations dictated by tour schedule are a credit to the
producer.
This recording really put Zeppelin on the map and Atlantic had to
give the highest advance to make sure Peter Grants Boys didn't look
elsewhere, one of the greatest acts in rock history were in business to
stay for a long time to come.
Litigation copy !
Only the first presses came out with "Lemon Song" On the label, this
was hastily retitled on Peter Grants orders on later presses for fear
of impending litagation from the estate of "blind lemon jefferson"
also has the rarer `Shes a Woman` error on label later corrected copies say `Shes just a Woman`
Grab yourself a piece of rock history!
the Green Spine copies are very very scarce .
These are getting harder to find in anything like this condition,
also Plant gets songwriting credits for the first time as he is
considered "permanent" following US reaction to the 12 month old line
up.

In Excellent with light lines only, superb sheen to the vinyl (see photos) and only some minor scuffs and scrapes from sleeve removal over
the years, bear in mind this is a 49 year old vinyl record! Nice fat
pre oil crisis 60s vinyl wow ! truly a collectors dream...at this price!
Great highs and lows great audio.
At the start of side 2 there are slight "background clicks" which are audible before jimmy Page hits the first note in track 1 "Heartbreaker" after music starts all clear throughout. cant stress enough how good this copy is...
Otherwise this is a great play through with no issues and great audio from this 1969 A2 B2 first press.
Clearly no skips or sticks or jumps, we playtested on our super fussy Kenwood light tracking deck as well as the Rega all clear and its sounding Excellent. not perfect or nr mint but an Ex copy.
No jumps or sticks on our Rega 3 a professional clean may assist (we don't do this as its an individual thing) there is some light static in quieter places but not many of those..
Has its original `Plastic bags can be Dangerous` inner sleeve , its a little yellowed but holding up well, a new quality PVC lined inner is supllied.
See pictures in the listing you can see the light surface lines only on the record.
Plays clear with bright crisp sound may benefit from a
professional clean (we don't do this as it's an individual thing) some
background static is noticeable in the quieter passages but not many of
those!
Nice Thick fat 70s pre oil crisis vinyl very flat on the table.
The sleeve

Having done it's job over 49 years the sleeve has some ring wear and

Stratford Place, London, W1) message (not on later versions) (see

The spine pictures show clear the `Green` colour used only on the spine and edges on the first 1000
Having done it's job over 49 years the sleeve has some light ring wear (see photos rear cover) and general removal and use wear.

The corners are a little rounded . its reccomended keep stored in PVC sleeve

the rear cover shows ringwear see photos, the rest of the cover is in very good plus order.
on the whole an vgc plus sleeve and a great collectable "Nr Excellent" 1st UK press 1969 vinyl.
This is a great copy for someone looking for a wholly original 1st press of this great album.
note if the buyer wants an EX or "Mint" " or a new reissue please see elsewhere this is a "used 49 year old vinyl record and sleeve"
Mint" and EX advertised copies are almost impossible now sometimes £800+ (see other listings)
This is a great `lemon song` and `Shes a woman` error label copy A2 B2 pressing these were only produced in Red Plum with "Lemon Song" on the label for the first few months of release...a bargain "Nr Ex" at £420.
on later copies "Killin Floor" was substituted for "Lemon Song " also `shes just a woman` these errors are removed later copies, on the and a darker brown outer cover was used..
the early 1 st presses are now getting hard to find in reasonable condition as they were "played"
