‎– The Dark Side Of The Moon Original early (2nd) UK issue, with A3 B3 master codes in the run-outs, and Gramophone Co. label rim text. The vinyl record in Excellent condition, with Excellent audio. A fantastic player, and keeper.
The labels are VG+ both have a couple of spider legs around the spindle hole. - see pics
The Gatefold sleeve is VG++, with light wear. - see pics
Probably the highest regarded audio issue of them all
There is nothing between the audio playback on these pressings, and the original A2 B2 issues. If anything, these are slightly better in places, as some distortion and equalising issues, that were apparent on the first issue, were sorted out on the 2nd cut, A3/B3 pressings. In my honest opinion, the first Two UK issues (A-2&3 / B-2&3) are the best pressings of this LP you will hear. Better than MFSL, better than UHQR - and the "Half Speed Masters" do not even rate a mention. The Japanese Pro use is decent, but like the MFSL, it is too crisp, and sharp for my liking.
The standout for these early UK pressings is all about the tonal beauty, that is hard to describe, but easy to demonstrate with a good system, and multiple pressings to compare.

These copies were produced for a short time only, between first pressing and first repress, featuring earliest use of the new black Harvest "blue outline prism" label design.
These early transitional pressings, still have on labels the rim text starting as "The Gramophone Co. Ltd", and have been found with vinyl matrix A2/B2 or A3/B2 or A3/B3.

Gatefold cover of these copies come with two shade of color: very dark blue or black.
Many copies have been released with a sticker on front, although some do not have it.
The front cover has two different types of front openings:
- The right front opening of the gatefold cover is sealed with the two sides glued together.
- The right front opening of the gatefold cover is not sealed.
Rear top right corner has the text (IE 064 o 05249) between SHVL 804 and "stereo" centered (later copies have it left aligned).

Original set includes two A2-sized posters and 2 stickers.
Stickers have two different types of text on the back:
- "FasPrint Permanent" & "Crack Back Patented".
- "Permanent".

Some copies have a die-cut black polylined inner sleeve with patent number "1125555 1072844" and "Made in Great Britain" in silver at the bottom.

Recorded at Abbey Road Studios, London between June 1972 and January 1973.

GOOD
56 to 68
The record has been played so much that the sound quality has deteriorated, but the record will still play through, and it will not be a completely unpleasant listening experience, even at the bottom of this grade (56).

My Policies on postage are simple.

I post at cost.
The user pays.
I package well.

Any item that you purchase without choosing the option of "Signed for" or "Registered" Post, is at your risk.
I do accept that "signed for" can be expensive, especially internationally, but whether you take the option of this insurance, is entirely up to you.
I do not wish to withdraw the option of standard postage for the cheaper records, but it must be at your risk.
