NOTES: This is a guaranteed authentic US 3 LP test pressing of George Harrison's classic All Things Must Pass. This was found recently in a box of Capitol label records from the 1970-1971 era. The plain white generic cover only has STCH-639 written on both sides. The inner sleeves and labels also have STCH-639 written on them. I have not revised or modified any of these sleeves. 

I listened to all 6 sides to verify it played the correct album and had no skips or serious issues. Overall play grade of the first 4 sides is in the VG to VG+ area. Sides 5 and 6 (the jam sides) are in strong EXC condition and play great (hey, these jams are better than you remember).

Some more details on the sides:

Side 1 is visual VG due to 1 small half-inch scratch but looks strong VG+ overall

Side 2 is weak visual VG due to several squiggly lines, but they are not feelable and the side plays more like VG+

Side 3 is nice looking VG+

Side 4 is decent visual VG due to hairlines that are not feelable.

Side 5 is strong EXC close to NM

Side 6 is strong EXC close to NM.

I have not professionally cleaned these records, so a VPI cleaning should improve playing quality.

The generic white cover has full top and bottom seam splits and a couple small stains. The original inner sleeves also have some edge splits. Records will be shipped in new inner sleeves to avoid additional damage to original sleeves.

It is tough to price such a rare item, and I couldn't find much evidence of prior US test pressings being sold online. If the records were all NM, this would easily be a four figure item, so I feel my price is fair. Full insurance can be arranged for all shipments.

GRADES: SEALED, NM, EXC, VG+, VG, VG-, G, FAIR, POOR.

I grade strictly under bright light. My highest grade for an unsealed record is NM (NEAR MINT) - a record must look like new to be graded NM! An EXC record will show only slight signs of prior play. A VG+ is a solid used record that should play well but has minor visual flaws. A VG has more obvious flaws BUT is not trashed. Records graded VG- or worse will often play much better than they look.
