This one has solid punchy audio on this 1971 recording great nice flat 70s pre oil crisis vinyl with no warping or other worrying faults... 

This first *ICONIC 1971 UK Vertigo* estimated sold only around 50,000 in 71  how many are left...

 not available in this format in USA and Canada! where it went gold and later platinum founding the bones of *stoner rock* Nirvanna famously cite this album as *the one* a real time piece and collectors find. growing in value and a great listen!  recorded at island studios London in early 71.

so what here you get the better quality *lower volume* UK pressings on thick 70s vinyl and the Iconic UK Black and White Vertigo *Swirl* label.

Excellent condition

The labels are super clean this has been stored for many many years

EX condition on this 1970 1st Pressing 636050-1Y1 and 636050-2Y1,

EX copy a real timepiece , EX clean vinyl light lines and removal no skips has surface lines, LIGHT removal scuffs, see photos, stored upright in PVC jacket for many years.removal scuffs under strong light, still a finders dream with near ex cover and poster!

plays incredible with some light background noise could benefit from a professional clean, we don't do this its a personal thing. some VERY light "clicks " in the quieter passages intro to *Solitude* but the overall volume of the music is easily enjoyable on the soon to be 47 year old, super shiny clean fat pre oil crisis 70s vinyl (see pics) great swirl labels...

the original "Swirl" inner is absent, a faithfull reproduction "Swirl" inner with a new lined sleeve is supllied. 

 

 

The Cover

Ex Condition 

Awesome Box sleeve  incredible original 1971  `Embossed Box cover` super rare now "high gloss laminate finish" a real find with almost zero ringwear to rear, no writing stickers or tape to report. Very hard to find in this condition.

the top opening cover normally suffers this one is in good order with no serious damage, only some light laminate crreases on opening flaps as normal with this box sleeve,

 no worrying faults!* its got some storage wear but in good order for 48 years! EX .

almost zero rounding at corners , no splits or tears to worry about.

no writing stickers or tape to report. no worrying faults....

 

the reproduction poster is really nice quality clear clean and not a lot of handling evident, truly a collectors find. no holes, tape or writing and no worrying faults a great sleeve that is  *Excellent*  the laminate on creaes a little and lines keeping it nr mint,  a nice rare box cover not too flatened like many.

Plays without any skips or jumps, amazing bass on this , may benefit from a professional clean (we don't do this as it's an individual thing) background static is noticeable in the quieter passages and some static in places nothing to disrupt playing no sticks or jumps on our Rega 3.
