Impossible to Find Original Atlantic Dial Pressing with Alan Lomax 4 Page Booklet. Alan Lomax was an American ethnomusicologist who became famous for his taped field recordings of American Folk and Blues.
In the late '50s, folklorist Alan Lomax toured the South making field recordings of folk, bluegrass and blues musicians from the Blue Ridge Mountains to the Mississippi Delta. In the process, he discovered Forest City Joe and Mississippi Fred McDowell amongst others. Seven albums were released individually on Atlantic Records entitled Southern Folk Heritage Series.
