Includes four classic studio albums and four essential live albums. The collection connects the Dead's history, subculture and lore to modern relevance and mainstream music culture.

Liner notes and essays from Jim James, Avey Tare, David Longstreth, Margo Price, MC Taylor of Hiss Golden Messenger, Scott Devendorf of the National, John Darnielle of the Mountain Goats, Jenny Conlee of the Decemberists, and Hunter Brown of STS9.

The collection comes in a box designed by artist Jeremy Dean, along with a deluxe 12"x12" liner notes booklet featuring rare and archival photos and ephemera courtesy of iconic photographers from the eras.

As with past anthologies, the journey comes with access to four exclusive podcasts. The exclusive podcasts will guide you through opening the records at specific points along a four-week journey.

All eight titles in this anthology had lacquers cut by Chris Bellman at Bernie Grundman Mastering in Hollywood. All titles were cut 'AAA' from the original analog tapes, with the exception of Without a Net coming from the original master digital audio. Pressed at Quality Record Pressings on high-quality 180-gram colored vinyl.
